Why is Burj Al Arab extraordinary?

The Burj  Al Arab,a luxury hotel in Dubai,is an astonishing structure.The architect,Tom Wright ,was asked to construct a building that would be iconic of Dubai.It resembles the billowing sail of an Arab sailing ship.The sail is a huge expanse of specially produced fiber glass that has been coated with Teflon,to protect it from the weather.

it is the fourth tallest hotel in the world. Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) from Jumeirah beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. Sometimes referred to as "the world's only seven-Star hotel".

Burj Al Arab was designed by architect Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC. The design and construction were managed by Canadian engineer Rick Gregory also of WS Atkins. Construction of the Island began in 1994. It was built to resemble the sail of a dhow, a type of Arabian vessel. Two "wings" spread in a V to form a vast "mast", while the space between them is enclosed in a massive atrium. The architect Tom Wright said "The client wanted a building that would become an iconic or symbolic statement for Dubai; this is very similar to Sydney with its Opera House, London with Big Ben, or Paris with the Eiffel Tower. It needed to be a building that would become synonymous with the name of the country."

Why is an MP 3 file called so?

MP 3 is short for MPEG Audio Layer 3.MPEG is the short form for Moving Picture Experts Group,which  developed a compression system used for audio data.Uncompressed audio files are too large.The MP 3 format is a compression system for audio files like musics,talks,etc

Its reduces the number of bytes in a song without affecting the quality of the song,so the computer takes less space.The aim of MPEG-3 or MP 3 is to compress a song by the factor of 10 to 14 without clearly affecting its sound quality 

Mp 3 or Mp 4 sounds similar,but they are rather different.MPEG-4 is a media container format used to store media of many types on a computer.

Why is it said that the 'Global Positioning System'(GPS) is helped to how the exact position on earth?

GPS (Global Positioning System) is a system which shows the exact position in anywhere,anytime in the Earth.It works with a help of a number of GPS satellites orbiting in the earth. The GPS device is like this:

A GPS navigation device is a device that receives GPS signals for the purpose of determining the device's current location on Earth. GPS devices provide latitude and longitude information. GPS devices are used in military, aviation, marine and consumer product applications.
GPS devices may also have additional capabilities such as:

• containing all types of maps, like streets maps, which may be displayed in human readable format via text or in a graphical format
• providing suggested directions to a human in charge of a vehicle or vessel via text or speech
• providing directions directly to an autonomous vehicle such as a robotic probe
• providing information on traffic conditions (either via historical or real time data) and suggesting alternative directions

• providing information on nearby amenities such as restaurants, fueling stations, etc.

Each satellites is equipped with precise clocks that keeps an accurate time.These time signals are  transmitted with other parameters,to the receiver or the navigational device.The receiver detects the signals from three satellites,by doing some mathematical calculations, its locations is accurately  determined.By getting the information from a fourth satellites,it is able to give the time also.Thus,the navigational device sees four satellites at a time.
